“I don’t want to be a rebound fling Olivia…”

“You aren’t my rebound Casey… who told you that?”

“Who do you think?”

“Oh! He’s a bloody idiot….”

L+O:SVU. Alex/Olivia/Casey. Punishment.

“What is this? Some kind of strange and cruel punishment?”

Alex’s protest had been soft, her confusion evident in the way she looked at the other two women.

“No Alex…”

“Then what is it?”

“A surprise gift…”

Alex sighed softly and shrugged.

Alex Cabot had felt a twinge of jealousy when she saw Olivia Benson with Casey Novak, the jealousy passed only once Olivia had explained her idea to both Casey and Alex herself.

Casey Novak rarely took lunch breaks unless Olivia Benson asked her to. This time when Olivia turned up to drag her out on a lunch break she agreed instantly, glad to get away from the case she was working, a child rapist and murder case.

Alex Cabot had come home alone as Olivia Benson was back at the squad room, obviously struggling to clear paper-work so that she wouldn’t have a late night.

“Why is it always a late night when I have a light case.” She muttered to herself.

Alex Cabot and Casey Novak had come to an understanding that there was no way they could come clean at work but neither one had wanted to lose the other and they had agreed to stay together.

Alex Cabot had become used to Casey Novak’s innate predictability. She loved that she knew exactly when Casey would turn up and had always been able to prepare a meal on time. Any time Casey was late without ringing Alex experienced a thrill of fear.
